Introducing Captured with Caira
On 22 September we started a new series on Instagram called Captured with Caira. Every Tuesday and every Sunday we post photographs taken on Caira, straight out of the camera, so you can see exactly what it produces before you decide whether it's for you.
The rules
I wanted the series to be useful to someone comparing cameras, so we set three rules and said them out loud in the first video.
No edits. Nothing goes through Lightroom or any other editor. You see each file as it came off the camera.
Smart Styles only. Caira has six built-in colour looks — neutral, vibrant, film, chrome, gold and b&w — and it applies them at the moment you take the photo. When a post uses one, the caption says which.
No generative AI, unless the caption says so. Caira can edit photos with generative AI, and when we show that we'll label it clearly. The series is about what the sensor and the lens capture.

Where the photos come from
The first posts come from our team's last year with Caira. We opened with the Swiss Alps — a lodge above the treeline, with the lake a long way below — and have since posted New York in autumn and the MIT dome above the trees in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
On 4 October we featured our first photo from a customer: a market in Portugal, shot by @helgogram in the Film style. That's the part of the series I'm most excited about. Our team's photos show what Caira can do, and owners' photos show what it does in everyone else's hands.

Send us your photos
If you shoot on Caira, we'd love to feature you. Email your high-res photos to team@cameraintelligence.com, or send them by DM to @camera_intelligence on Instagram, and we'll credit and tag you when we post. Send the original files rather than screenshots, so we can show them exactly as they came off the camera.

Follow the series on Instagram every Tuesday and Sunday. If you'd rather browse in one place, the Captured with Caira gallery on our website has 74 photos taken on Caira, with the lens and exposure for each one where we have it.
